We’re delighted to announce that Katie Smith will be this year’s Closest to the Pin Special Guest!
Katie is a 3-time Olympic gold medalist, WNBA legend, and widely regarded as Ohio State’s greatest women’s basketball player. She’s currently an assistant coach for the Ohio State Lady Bucks, returning after 11 seasons coaching in the WNBA.
Her incredible career includes:
- Induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame
- WNBA Finals MVP, 7-time All-Star, and 2-time Champion
- Former WNBA scoring champion and all-time leading scorer in women’s pro basketball at retirement
- Ohio State’s first women’s player to have her jersey retired
